Clear Desktop

• The RΣASON™ desk has a clear desktop in both the standard and IT modes.
• No bulky desktop computer or fixed position monitors to interfere with the user’s work.
• No holes or gaps in the desk surface.
• The full desk space is available to use for books and papers.

Integrated PC

• The computer is specially designed to be housed within compartment located at the rear of the desk.
• Optional floppy and/or optical drives are accessed from front of the desktop.
• The proprietary design allows for inclusion of any PCI card.
• The PC is built using standard brand-name components to assure reliability and ease of upgrade.
• Unique design minimises tamper, protects from damage, increases security and enhances appearance.

Flat Screen Monitor

• The RΣASON™ desk is designed to use a flat screen monitor.
• In the non-IT format, the monitor is concealed in the monitor compartment located at the rear of the desk.
• Monitor size can be 15”, 17” or 19” and, in the 15” and 17” sizes, the monitor is available with a hardened glass front.

Monitor Mechanism & Arm

• The proprietary monitor mechanism is specially designed to enable the monitor and the monitor arm to move from inside the desk-frame up to the surface of the desk.
• The proprietary monitor arm provides for three dimensional movement of the monitor, supporting the flexible use of the desk and ergonomic considerations for the users.
• The monitor mechanism and arm are connected with tamper-proof fasteners preventing the removal of the monitor from the desk.

Access Control

• An optional access control system is available for the RΣASON™ desk.
• Using the proprietary software, an Administrator can set access rights for individual Master Users who, in turn, control access for individual users.
• Access for Master Users can be limited to specific times, on specific days and even to specific desks.
• After use, the system can automatically re-lock the RΣASON™ desk or the system can be set to require the Master User to re-lock individual desks or groups of desks.
• The RΣASON™ desk can also be fitted with a smart card reader that can provide individual access from the locked position.

Security

• The computer remains locked in the desktop compartment even when in use.
• The monitor, keyboard and mouse are housed in a separate, lockable compartment within the desk-frame.
• The monitor is mounted on a mobile arm using anti-tamper fasteners
• The RΣASON™ can also be configured with an optional alarm system that can provide notification of any tampering, miss-use or disconnection from the mains.

Optional Desk Type

• The RΣASON™ desk is available as a single or double desk.
• In both configurations, both the monitor and computer compartments are located at the rear of the desk.
• On the single desk, the monitor compartment is to the left-rear while the computer is located on the right-rear.
• On the double desk, the monitors are located toward the outer-side while the computers on located toward the centre of the rear.

Flexible Room Configuration

• The RΣASON™ desks can be connected together to form many different room configurations.
• Alternative configurations include:
  • Library
  • 'U' Shape
  • Rows

Size & Colour Options

• The RΣASON™ desk is available in a variety of standard sizes and colours
• Standard sizes are:
  • Depth: 650mm, 700mm, 750mm & 800mm.
  • Width: (single) 980mm, 1100mm, 1200mm & 1400mm.
  • Width: (double) 1830mm, 1900mm & 2000mm.
• Standard colours are:
  • Steel frame: black, graphite and silver
  • Top: Wood grain (honey birch, maple, hardrock maple, oak, sienna calvados, walnut), ivory matt, red gloss, dark blue gloss & nile green.
• Custom sizes and colours can be specified for full room configurations.
