However, to support customers who wish to use a brand-name computer, Adeptias has designed the Option Editions which can use certain brand-name, low profile desktop PC and thin clients. Q: Can I use any flat screen TFT monitor with an Adeptias desk?
A: Adeptias has designed the various desk models to accommodate a broad range of name-brand TFT monitors. The brands we supply, such as Benq, Samsung, GNR and Neovo, have been tested to ensured that the monitors comply with the dimensions and attachments required to work within the Adeptias desks. We cannot guarantee the compatibility of other monitors beyond those we have tested. Q: Can I upgrade the Adeptias PC?
A: Yes, the Adeptias computer is upgradeable. The capacity of the hard drive and the memory can be increased, the processor can be changed and the optical drive can be changed to a DVD / CD-RW or a DVD-RW. We do recommend, however, that you review the terms of the warranty before you make any modifications to the Adeptias PC. Q: Who builds the Adeptias PC?

Based on the increasing popularity of USB storage devices, there us no longer a significant demand for floppy drives. Therefore, the floppy drive is not included as standard equipment on the Adeptias desks. However, as some users still work with floppy drives, Adeptias does offer floppy drives (located on the front of the desk) as an option. Q: Can I include an optical drive (CD, DVD, DVD/CD-RW or DVD-RW)?
A: As the Adeptias desks are primarily used in training centres and schools, the majority of applications do not require an optical drive. However, to accommodate those that do, a full range of CD / DVD drives are available which can be included (built into the front of the desk) as an option. Q: What options are available for the operating system?
A: Adeptias offers Microsoft Windows® XP Home as standard on all PCs. However, as many of the applications for the Adeptias desks are network related, Adeptias offers Microsoft Windows® XP Professional as an upgrade. Alternative operating systems can be specified.
